Derek Hough Releases Awesome ‘A Star Is Born’ Medley Video on YouTube — Watch!

Most people know Derek Hough as a dancer, Emmy-winning choreographer, actor and judge on World of Dance — but did you also know the 33-year-old star is an amazing singer, too? Derek recently released a medley of A Star Is Born songs on YouTube and the video is, frankly, awesome and so impressive.

“When I first saw A Star Is Born, the music, performances and the topic really moved me. I felt inspired to create a cover that included two of the songs from the film — ‘Shallow’ and ‘I’ll Never Love Again,'” Derek said in a statement about his latest project. Check out Derek’s newly-released A Star Is Born medley video below! 

The video — produced by Riveting Entertainment and choreographed by Tessandra Chavez — features Derek singing ‘Shallow’ and ‘I’ll Never Love Again’ from Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga‘s A Star Is Born remake. The film hit theaters in October 2018 and has since been sweeping up accolades during Hollywood’s 2019 awards season. The flick was most recently nominated for eight Academy Awards.

In addition to performing the medley of songs, Derek also directed the video which features dancers Michael Dameski, Charity Anderson, Stephanie Mincone, Adam Vessy, Connor Gormley, Marie Spieldenner, Robbie Blue, Ashlynn Malia, Haley Jonae and Matthew Kubitz.

Last fall, Derek wowed his 2.2 million Instagram followers — and proved he’s such a huge fan of the movie! — when he posted a home video of himself singing ‘Shallow’ to his girlfriend, Dancing With the Stars pro Hayley Erbert. “Kitchen Serenade @hayley.erbert #astarisbornmovie #shallow,” he captioned the clip, which has now been viewed more than 847,000 times online.

So what’s next for the busy star? In addition to Season 3 of World of Dance — the reality competition also stars Jennifer Lopez, Jenna Dewan and Ne-Yo — set to premiere on February 26 on NBC, Derek is also about to embark on his first solo tour, “Derek Hough Live: The Tour,” this spring and will visit 60 cities throughout the U.S.

“I’m heading out on tour in April with a brand new show, my first ever solo tour. It’ll be an epic night filled with breathtaking dancing infused with heart-pounding live music. I’m always trying to push myself and provide the highest level of entertainment. I can’t wait to share this one with my fans. The music and dance videos I’ve been putting out recently are a taste of what you might see from me on tour,” Derek said in a statement.
