Dick Van Dyke’s wife, Arlene Silver, treats him “like a king!” The Mary Poppins actor could not be more grateful for his loving spouse, who enjoys singing and dancing just as much as he does.
They first met at the 2006 SAG Awards and tied the knot in 2012. Despite their 46-year age gap, they have proven that their marriage has only gotten stronger with time.
In September 2024, they appeared to accept the award for Outstanding Variety Special for Dick Van Dyke 98 Years of Magic at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
“The young lady who got this award, you may think of the word nepotism and I would understand it, but this lady got the job all by herself as producer of the Dick Van Dyke special because she knows me inside and out, and knows how I work, and don’t take no sass from anybody. Arlene Van Dyke!” Dick said.
