Harry Hamlin Reveals the Secret Behind Successful 22-Year Marriage to Lisa Rinna: ‘We’re a Good Team’

It’s always a pleasure to see couples married for quite some time, especially in Hollywood. Prime example? Harry Hamlin, who recently decided to share the secret behind he and wife Lisa Rinna‘s 22-year marriage.

“Lisa and I are of the same mind. When you get married, you get married,” the 67-year-old said while on the set of Hallmark’s Home & Family on Monday, April 8. “So we have a very functional relationship and we respect each other and listen to each other and admire each other and we let each other be. We’re not helicopter husband and wife.”

Harry and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 55, said their I do’s in 1997 and yet the Mad Men alum still accepts the fact that they don’t really have much in common. “I have no idea why opposites attract but we are completely and utterly opposite,” he revealed. “But I love to cook and she doesn’t, so we all get fed as a result of that. I have no interest in pop culture and she does so whatever I know about pop culture I get from her.”

“As far as the science stuff goes, she’s marginally into that but she’s very busy with all the things that she’s doing,” he added. Harry has two children with Lisa — daughters Delilah, 20, and Amelia, 17 — while he also shares a 38-year-old son named Dimitri with ex Ursula Andress.

Even though we’re sure they’ve been busy raising kids and dealing with their separate careers, the strong duo did decide to create their own fashion line named Belle Gray a few years back. “The business we started with the clothing company, our clothing company is really where her heart lies, I think, ‘cause she’s a fashionista and she loves fashion, as do my children,” Harry explained.

“But the two of us, she’s able to do the creative part of fashion and I’m able to do the business part so we keep the company going, I can keep the nuts and bolts going and she keeps the fun stuff going,” he continued. “We’re a good team.”
