It’s been a longtime coming. Janet Jackson was just one of the many legends to finally get inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and she made sure to thank everyone who has been a part of her success, including her famous siblings.

On Friday, March 29, in a ceremony that was held in New York City, the singer was introduced on stage by fellow performer Janelle Monáe, who called her the “the legendary queen of black girl magic.” Janet, 52, joined her late brother, and icon, Michael Jackson, as well as the rest of the Jackson 5 as members into the hall.

The hitmaker then proceeded to give out thanks to her siblings, as well as her parents, the late Joe Jackson, and her mother, Katherine. “I want to begin by thanking my incredibly strong family. My wonderful mother and father, as well as my sisters, my brothers,” she stated. “You guys never stopped believing in me.”

The songstress continued, revealing that it was due to her dad taking her to a record label at just 14-years-old that helped her get signed. “It was my father’s dream. He wanted me to become this great performer,” Janet explained. “He encouraged me, he was the first one to encourage me, and music became my passion. In 1997, my brothers were recognized for their musical contribution by being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and I was so proud of them. Tonight their baby sister has joined them.”

Janet also took some time to thank her son, Eissa Al Mana, who she shares with ex-husband businessman Wissam Al Mana. “I wanna thank my baby, my beautiful son. He wakes me up every single morning singing his own little melodies,” she gushed. “He’s only two, you guys. And I want you to know you are my heart. You are my life.”

The icon continued, “And you have shown me the meaning of real unconditional love. Mumma loves you, Eissa, ra-ra-ra!” “And Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, please, 2020: induct more women. Thank you so much for this honor. I love you so much. Thank you,” she added.

Stevie Nicks was also induced into the hall, along with bands The Cure, Radiohead, Def Leppard and The Zombies. Congrats to all!
