Jenna Bush Hager Reveals Whether or Not She Wants Baby No. 4: ‘Imperfect Number’

Jenna Bush Hager may have teetered with the idea of expanding her family, but the Today show host thinks the ship has sailed on baby No. 4.

Savannah Guthrie joined Jenna, 43, on the Monday, March 3, episode of Today With Jenna & Friends, and shared that she had a dream that Jenna was pregnant with her fourth child. Savannah, 53, went on to joke and asked Jenna if there was an announcement she was holding to herself.

“I have nothing to announce,” Jenna replied. “I’m pretty sure I’ve come to terms that three, even though it’s an imperfect number, is the perfect number for our house.”

Jenna shares three kids, daughters Mila Hager, 11, Poppy Hager, 9, and son Hal Hager, 5, with husband Henry Chase Hager.

Savannah empathized with Jenna and told her that her conflicting feelings were “normal” and termed being “broody.”

“You’re kind of broody for a third or a fourth,” the Mostly What God Does is Love You author told Jenna before admitting, “I would have had a third in a heartbeat, but, you know, I was up against the clock.”

Savannah, for her part, has two children, daughter Vale Feldman, 10, and Charley Feldman, 8, whom she shares with husband Michael Feldman.

Speaking about kids isn’t unordinary between the close costars, as they are the godmothers to each other’s children. In fact, the women were recently moved to tears oncamera after Jenna applauded Savannah for her parenting style while stunned that Vale interviewed Savannah.

“I’m so lucky to be her godmother,” Jenna told Savannah during the February 25 episode of the Today show. “But I’m so proud of her because you know everything you’ve given to them, all of your faith that you’ve passed on so gently without preaching, without demanding, are in those little kids. And when the world feels dark, that is hope. Anyway, you can see it.”

As for Jenna, she has opened up about her family on the Today show over the years and recently addressed concerns about her marriage after she hosted the talk show while her wedding ring was missing from her finger.

“I’m not wearing one now because I broke my finger, but don’t worry, I’ve seen some of the comments, Henry and I are still very happily married,” Jenna said on the February 26 episode of Today With Jenna & Friends, referencing the circumstance as a “bad wedding ring situation.”

Back in August 2024, Jenna shared with viewers that she lost her lucky necklace, which resulted in a series of unfortunate events, including a black eye and breaking her ring finger. The reporter even said her eldest child, Mila, believed the lost piece of jewelry contained magic.

“And I said that to Mila, I said, ‘I’ve had some misfortunes and maybe it’s because I’ve lost my lucky necklace,’ and she said, ‘Well, were you so stressed after you lost the necklace?’ and I said, ‘No!’ Well, not until all the bad things started happening!” Jenna explained at the time.

In January, Jenna gave an update about parenting her three kids and shared that Mila is a “sweet” and “empathetic” tween. In regards to parenting in general, Jenna and Henry, 46, often struggle like any other parent.

“Parenting was hard last night. Henry’s like, ‘Wow, parenting is really hard,'” Jenna told Parade at the time. “And it is. But yeah, of course. I hope that the way Henry and I treat people is rubbed off, you know? And she witnesses that, but she’s a good kid. All of them are. They’re all wild, too, but they’re good.”
