Kate Middleton Allegedly Had a ‘Terrible Falling Out’ With BFF Rose Hanbury: ‘They Used to Be Close’

Uh oh! According to a new report, Kate Middleton just went through a “terrible falling out” with her close friend Rose Hanbury. A source close to the situation told the UK’s The Sun newspaper, “It is well known that Kate and Rose have had a terrible falling out. They used to be close but that is not the case anymore.”

Apparently, Kate’s husband, Prince William, even tried to mend the Duchess of Cambridge’s relationship with Rose — who is the Marchioness of Cholmondeley — because he was also close with Rose’s husband, David Rock­savage. “William wants to play peacemaker so the two couples can remain friends, given they live so close to each other and share many mutual friends,” the insider explained to the outlet. “But Kate has been clear that she doesn’t want to see them anymore and wants William to phase them out, despite their social status.”

Rose and her husband, a former filmmaker, reportedly live just a few miles away from William and Kate’s Amner Hall country home, which was a royal wedding gift from Queen Elizabeth. Like the duke and duchess, the A-list couple is also parents-of-three — they share twin sons Alexander, Earl of Rocksavage, and Oliver, Lord Cholmondeley, and a daughter, Lady Iris — and often got their kids together with the Cambridge tots, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, for playdates.

Not only did Rose, a former model, and David attend William and Kate’s lavish royal wedding at London’s Westminster Abbey back in April 2011, but Rose’s paternal grandmother, Lady Rose Lambert, was also allegedly a bridesmaid at the Queen’s wedding to Prince Philip in 1947.

Kate and her former best friend Rose were previously photographed together at the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices’ Nook Appeal dinner in June 2016. At the special event, William also hung out with Rose’s husband, David, but it now seems the foursome aren’t close. Perhaps Kate can grow closer to her royal sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, now that she needs a new BFF!
