Keanu Reeves Shares Rare Details About His Relationship With Alexandra Grant: ‘We Have Enjoyed It’

Keanu Reeves gave rare insight into his relationship with partner Alexandra Grant, and shared the thrill-seeking ways they’ve traveled together on excursions.

“We have been on a couple of trips together on the motorcycle,” the Speed actor, 60, told E! News in a story published on Monday, February 24, noting they “enjoyed” the experiences.

Without going into further detail, Keanu told the outlet that “sharing,” “communicating” and “supporting” are the most important pillars of their relationship.

Keanu and Alexandra, 51, have managed to maintain their magnetic energy in private after they met and started dating in 2009. After making their relationship red carpet official 10 years later at the 2019 LACMA Art + Film Gala, the pair have continued to maintain a low relationship profile.

In addition to red carpet events, Keanu and Alexandra are sometimes spotted out in public while enjoying date night. However, in April 2024, In Touch reported that they were engaged after the visual artist popped the big question to the Matrix star.

“Alexandra proposed,” a source told In Touch at the time. “It was pretty impressive of her to ask but then again, Alexandra is a strong independent woman who knows what she wants.”

The insider later dished on possible wedding plans, eliminating the idea of a grand celebration, as it doesn’t align with Keanu and Alexandra’s private lives.

“They want a quiet, simple ceremony with their closest friends and family, and why not do it in their own backyard? It’s the perfect place,” the source continued to the publication, revealing that Sandra Bullock and Alex Winter would unquestionably receive a save-the-date invitation.

That said, a separate source told Closer that Sandra, 60, wants to play a bigger role in his wedding than as a seat filler.

“Sandra is so happy that he’s found love with Alexandra. She says she wants to help plan their wedding. Keanu jokes that Sandra should officiate, just marry them in her backyard,” the insider told Closer in October 2024.

The following month, a second source exclusively told Closer that Keanu and Alexandra were planning on tying the knot in 2025.

Neither Keanu nor Alexandra have addressed the engagement reports.

Aside from wedding preparations, the pair have continued to support each other’s accomplishments.

In December 2024, Alexandra and Keanu flashed wide smiles while walking on the red carpet at the premiere of Sonic the Hedgehog 3. The A-list actor voices the film’s character Shadow who joined the animated franchise’s third installment.

“We got dolled up and it was very exciting and just kind of nerve-wracking in the car, getting out. It’s really special to be side by side,” Keanu told Entertainment Tonight at the event.
