‘GMA’ Star Lara Spencer Marries Fiancé Rick McVey — See The Pics!

Congratulations are in order for Lara Spencer — she just married her fiancé, Rick McVey, eight months after they got engaged! The couple tied the knot on Saturday, Sept. 1 in Colorado, and lucky for us, Lara shared a few photos from the special event to her Instagram account.

“It happened!!! Best Day Ever,” she captioned a photo of her son Duff from her previous marriage walking her down the aisle. “I might be just a little happy. 🙂 Best Day Ever,” she captioned another snap of herself with her new hubby. Lastly, she shared a sweet family photo from their memorable day. She looked so gorgeous in her Adam Zohar wedding gown!

The tech entrepreneur recently popped the question to the Good Morning America star, 48, after two years of dating, Lara’s rep confirmed to People on Friday, Jan. 5. The two reportedly met a few years ago after being set up on a blind date arranged by their mutual friend.

The news of Lara’s marriage comes two years after she and her first husband, David Haffenreffer, announced their divorce after 15 years of marriage in March 2015. The pair previously tied the knot in September 2000 and are parents to two teenage kids, son Duff Haffenreffer and daughter Katharine Haffenreffer, together.

“After a lot of thought, care, and consideration, we have decided to end our marriage. It’s a sad decision that did not come easily, especially because we respect and love each other and our children. They remain our top priority. We will raise them and care for them together,” Lara and David said at the time of their split. 

An insider subsequently told Closer Weekly that the couple had been growing apart for some time due, in part, to Lara’s busy work schedule with Good Morning America. “Lara is working 70 hours a week. She’s very ambitious and something had to give. It ended up being her marriage,” a source close to the star revealed. 

Since Lara began dating her now-husband, Rick, she’s been proudly posting photos of the two to her Instagram account. In July, she shared snapshots of the two throughout their Europe getaway, and we loved seeing the couple happy as ever on vacation.

According to People, Rick is also a divorcé and a father to three adult daughters from a past marriage. Congrats again to Lara and Rick on their wedding!
