Meg Ryan and Daughter Daisy True Make Rare Mother-Daughter Appearance in New York City
Getting ready for the weekend! Meg Ryan was all smiles during a rare outing with her 15-year-old daughter, Daisy True Ryan. The You’ve Got Mail actress hit the streets of New York City on Thursday, October 3, and looked happier than ever as she walked alongside her little girl.
It’s not every day that we get to see the mother-daughter duo out and about considering Meg, 57, has laid low in Hollywood recently. Despite her status quo, the When Harry Met Sally star looked comfy and casual in a black T-shirt, gray athletic pants and black sneakers.
Meg’s daughter looked super cute as she wore a striped sweater that featured stars up the torso, as well as a pair of denim jeans, sneakers and a hat. The pair were spotted smiling and laughing as they enjoyed a stroll around the Big Apple.
As fans know, Meg became the mom to Daisy when she adopted the then-14-month-old from China in 2006. Nearly a year after Daisy became a part of her family, the As the World Turns alum — who is also the mom of 27-year-old son, Jack Quaid, with ex-husband Dennis Quaid — opened up about being the mama of an adopted kiddo.
“Daisy doesn’t feel hard [to raise],” she told People at the time. “She’s a good hang, and she’s easy. She’s very smart and she’s very generous. I love that she’s funny. I love that. I just can’t imagine what it was like before she came. Life is good, it’s so good with her in it.”
The blonde beauty explained that although Daisy was randomly assigned as her daughter because adoption in China includes a lottery system, “I am convinced, completely convinced that there was nothing random about it,” she told the outlet. Aww!
“She is the daughter I should have… We are so compatible,” the proud mama continued. “And also having the experience of having had Jack and now to have Daisy in a different way — there’s no difference in the love you feel.”
