Meghan Markle May Give Birth At Same Hospital That Saved Sophie, Countess of Wessex’s Life

Meghan Markle continues to prove she is out to do things her way, as a report is now revealing that she may be giving birth at a completely different hospital than Kate Middleton had her children.

A source tells Daily Mail that Meghan, 37, is considering having her and Prince Harry‘s first child at Frimley Park Hospital, the same place where Harry’s Aunt, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, had her two children, Lady Louise and Viscount Severn James. This of course would be a change from St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, West London, the spot where Kate had Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

“If their Royal Highnesses have moved to Frogmore Cottage before the birth, as planned, Frimley Park may be a more easily accessible option than St Mary’s,” the source states, referring to the fact that Harry and Meghan’s Windsor Estate home is 15 miles away from Frimley Park, while St Mary’s is 23 miles away.

Prince Edwards may also be all about Meghan having her child at the same place his wife gave birth, as that is the hospital where Sophie’s life was saved. In 2004, Sophie almost died while giving birth to her first child. It all kicked off when she was rushed to the hospital with abdominal pains. Doctors quickly realized she needed an emergency caesarean as she had signs of acute placental abruption — which is when the placenta separates prematurely from the uterus.

The operation was thankfully a success. Regardless of what hospital Meghan chooses she will most likely have complete round-the-clock staff near her throughout everything. And Meghan seems to be ready to be a mom, as a body language expert recently told Us Weekly that the Duchess of Sussex’s “maternal instincts are kicking in,” and she’s been showing “motherly tendencies.” Now we wait until the big day.
