Melanie Griffith Is on Great Terms With Her Former Lovers! Meet the Actress’ 3 Ex-Husbands

Melanie Griffith may no longer be married to any of her three ex-husbands, but she couldn’t share a better relationship with Don Johnson, Steven Bauer and Antonio Banderas. Whether she’s gushing over them on social media or walking the red carpet as a family, the Working Girl actress has remained close as ever with her former spouses.

Melanie tied the knot for the first time when she married fellow actor Don in 1976. However, it was short-lived as the duo called it quits that same year. Fortunately, the Lolita star moved on when she married her second husband, Steven, in 1981. Melanie and the Ray Donovan actor welcomed her eldest child, Alexander Bauer, in 1985 before going their separate ways in 1989.

Following her divorce from Steven, Melanie rekindled her romance with Don and they got back together in 1989. That same year, they welcomed their only child together, Dakota Johnson, but split for the second time in 1996.

Melanie’s love life wasn’t over as she bounced back from her divorce with Don by walking down the aisle with Antonio later in 1996. The Milk Money actress and the Mask of Zorro actor expanded Melanie’s family when they welcomed daughter Stella Banderas the same year. Melanie and Antonio were together for nearly two decades before separating in 2014.

Although she’s been living the single life, the Golden Globe winner knows she’ll always have the love and support of her ex-hubbies. In July 2020, Melanie praised her former loves as she shared individual throwback photos along with sweet messages on Instagram.

“When @thestevenbauer and I were married and madly in love,” Melanie captioned a pic from 1984 of the two kissing. “Me and DJ the first time we were married,” she then wrote next to a pic with Don from 1976. “I was 18, he was 26. First love.” The blonde bombshell also uploaded a gorgeous snapshot of her and Antonio from 2012. “Last but not least, mi amor Antonio. Besitos.”

The iconic actress echoed her heartwarming sentiments in a 2018 interview with InStyle. “All of my husbands, my three husbands — I love them all so much,” she gushed at the time. “We’re all very close.”

Melanie also dished why she doesn’t see a fourth marriage in her future. “I really don’t think it’s relevant for anyone anymore. But especially if you’re 60 and you have four kids and you’re living the life you’ve always wanted. Then why get married?” she explained. “It’s, like, I would love to fall in love and have a romance, a relationship, but I haven’t. I keep looking. I’ve had a couple of lovers but not a relationship.”
