Raven-Symoné Named New Co-Host on ‘The View’

The View has finally found its fourth co-host!

Raven-Symoné, 29, will join the popular daytime talk show's co-hosts table alongside Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace "effective immediately," it was announced during the ABC program on Wednesday, June 10.

The former The Cosby Show star has appeared on the series as a guest-host 37 times since former co-host Rosie O'Donnell announced her departure from The View in early February after splitting from her wife.

“Raven-Symoné is a welcome addition to The View. She is happy, amusing and well informed, and has already brought a unique perspective to the program that has resonated with our audience," creator and executive producer, Barbara Walters, said in an official statement released by ABC.

“Being a part of The View family will be a wonderful growing experience for me. The cast and crew are warm and welcoming and has made the transition into daytime talk easier," Raven-Symoné said of her new role.

"I have a lot to learn within this new arena, but being the apprentice of these spectacular women will only make me a better person and talk show host… Let's have some fun!” she added.
