Reba McEntire and Boyfriend Rex Linn Celebrate 5-Year Anniversary With Adorable New Photo

Reba McEntire and her boyfriend, Rex Linn, are still going strong! The happy couple shared a cute photo together to mark their five-year anniversary.

“Celebrating five years of tater tots this week! #thetots #anniversary,” Reba, 69, captioned the post on Instagram on Thursday, January 24.

The Voice coach previously revealed that “Tater Tot” is the nickname Rex, 68, gave her. She explained that the nickname came about when they went out to dinner one night and then went to a wine bar afterward. She recalled one of the waiters telling her about their appetizers.

“Well, I understand that you’ve already had dinner, but we do have some good appetizers. I said, ‘What do you have?’ They said, ‘Well, we have tater tots,’” she said, revealing that she raised her hand.

“And so Rex said, ‘That’s your nickname from here on out: Tater Tot,'” the “Fancy” singer recalled.

Reba also gave Rex a nickname of his own — Sugar Tot.

“We’re the tots, Sugar and Tater,” the country music superstar gushed. “So we’ve been together ever since. He’s a sweetheart.”

Fans have been rooting for the couple since they were first linked in early 2020. Reba spoke out about whether or not she was hoping to take the next step in their relationship years later.

“If that’s something he feels totally strong about, that’s fine with me,” she told E! News in April 2024 about the possibility of getting married again. “He’s never been married before. So, if he wants to experience that, I’m OK with that.”

Reba was married to her first husband, Charlie Battles, from 1976 to 1987, and to her second husband, Narvel Blackstock, from 1989 to 2015. She welcomed son Shelby Blackstock in 1990 with Narvel, 68.

The Reba actress and the Cliffhanger actor don’t just have a great romantic relationship, but the pair have also been sharing the screen in Happy’s Place.

“I’ve got two great jobs. I have a love of my life, Rex Linn,” Reba told Us Weekly in October 2024. “We’ve been together for almost five years. And my health is good, his health is good. My family is healthy. What more could I ask for?”

“Rex and I are best friends,” she told the outlet. “We have the same likes and dislikes. We’re foodies. We love to cook. We each wanted to be a cowboy and a cowgirl. Then we got into the entertainment business instead. Our dynamic works on and off-screen.”

Reba also shared what they like to do at home when they’re not working.

“It depends if there’s a college football game on,” the music sensation said. “If so, we’ll be in front of the television watching football. If not, we’re rehearsing or going outside and feeding the birds and watering the rose garden. We just love to be together.”

Reba said that her relationship with the actor has changed her life for the better.

“I think we have made each other better. Rex brings out the little girl in me and I have fun. I’m dorky, I’m goofy. He is too,” she gushed. “We love to laugh, and we love each other. We both love watching television. We’re always on the lookout for a new series or movie to watch. He says that it’s his homework, watching other actors and learning from them. I do it for pure enjoyment. Right now we’re streaming The Penguin.”
