Rosie O’Donnell Takes Over ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ — Star-Studded Guest List Revealed

It’s finally time! Rosie O’Donnell’s Jimmy Kimmel Live takeover starts on Monday, August 17, and ABC just released a can’t-miss guest list from the worlds of television, movies, and music.

With Kimmel on a break until September 8, the late-night host is relying on a rotating roster of celebrity substitutes. Girls Trip actress Tiffany Haddish, black-ish actor Anthony Anderson, comedian Ike Barinholtz, The Four Seasons actor Colman Domingo, and musician Jelly Roll have all filled in for Kimmel this summer. And now…it’s Rosie’s turn.

This week’s schedule is packed with superstars and a few surprises. And if you’re a fan of HBO’s hit show The Pitt, you’re in luck. According to ABC, this week’s guests include:

Even though O’Donnell’s stint on Jimmy Kimmel Live is only temporary, rumors swirled recently about a return to daytime TV. As The View turns 30, fans speculated that Rosie would make a comeback and reprise her co-host role on the beloved show.

While the comedian did reveal (during an appearance on the Tangle podcast) that she could come back as “just a guest,” a representative for O’Donnell later told Entertainment Weekly, “There was a mention of inviting some of the boats back to The View as a guest during season 30, there has not been a formal ask from the show at this time.”

Rosie’s rep also added that cohost Ana Navarro had said something to O’Donnell about coming on the show as a guest, but “nothing has been formalized.”

As for Kimmel, his two-month summer vacation is about to end. And unlike his previous suspension, this time it’s a regular, planned break. Before leaving, he assured fans, “This time is voluntary.”
