SJP Reportedly Thinks Son James Wilkie Is ‘So Smart,’ Hopes He’ll Go To An Ivy League College

Mom-of-three Sarah Jessica Parker is so proud of her kids! According to a new Star magazine report, the Sex and the City actress can’t stop gushing about her 15-year-old son James Wilkie Broderick’s educational accomplishments and thinks he’s a genius.  

“Sarah thinks he’s so smart and won’t settle for anything less than him going to an elite Ivy League school. She already has him writing admission essays,” a source revealed. “She does tend to hover, but James has been a model teenager and hasn’t gone through any kind of rebellious stage.”

Growing up with SJP, 53, and Matthew Broderick, 56, as his parents, James definitely realizes that his upbringing wasn’t like the average kid’s. “They know James understands how influential his parents are,” the source added. “Sarah Jessica and Matthew feel so lucky to have a son who admires his parents.” 

Sarah Jessica and Matthew are also parents to twin nine-year-old daughters, Marion Loretta Broderick and Tabitha Broderick. This past May, the two girls made a rare red carpet appearance with their mom at the New York City Ballet’s Spring Gala. At the event, Loretta and Tabitha both wore adorable floral dresses and SJP matched their spring ensembles by donning a gorgeous beige dress.

In a previous interview with People, the doting mom opened up about how different her daughters are from one another. “They have different interests. They’re really devoted to each other, but they’ll also say, ‘I need time away from her,'” the actress shared. “Tabitha can play by herself for hours. Loretta always needs to be checking in. They go to different schools. That’s Tabitha’s idea.”

“Sometimes I just sit on the stairs because they’re all in the kitchen, eating all the food, and I listen, and I’m so charmed by their conversation,” Sarah Jessica said of her three kids. “I’m proud that our children talk to us in the way they do. I’m glad they’re curious people.”
