Singer Shania Twain has been having a blast socially distancing herself amid the coronavirus outbreak because she gets to be around her husband, Frédéric Thiébaud, even more.

“Lucky that I love spending time with this one,” Shania, 54, wrote via Instagram next to a sweet photo of her and Frédéric, 49, on Tuesday, March 24. “Tag your quarantine partner at home or online that’s keeping you.”

Shania and the Switzerland native have been married since 2011 and they have quite the unusual love story. “It’s twisted, but so beautifully twisted,” the “Man! I Feel Like A Woman!’ singer explained to AARP The Magazine in January. In the interview, Shania revealed that she actually met Frédéric because he used to be married to her longtime friend, Marie-Anne Thiébaud. However, Marie-Anne wasn’t such a good pal because she was cheating on Frédéric with Shania’s first husband, Robert John “Mutt” Lange.

At the time, the Grammy winner didn’t know anything about the affair. It wasn’t until she divorced the record producer in 2010 that Shania realized what was going on. “There were days I didn’t really care if tomorrow came,” she said. “I was in quicksand. I panicked like everybody does, but I didn’t surrender. I found a way out.”

But even though Shania got her heart broken, she still found love. “I describe what happened to Fred and me this way: we were two people who had been jettisoned from our lives as if we’d been shoved off the edge of a high cliff,” she once told Parade. “Thankfully, we managed to grab onto each other on the way down in midair and break each other’s fall.”

As for Marie-Anne, well, the musician has a few words for her. “I wish I’d never met you,” she told Andy Cohen about what she would say to her old friend on Watch What Happens Live. “I think there are just some people in life you would say I wish I hadn’t met that person or I would have been better off not knowing that person.”

Marie-Anne definitely missed out on a good friendship. We’re just happy that Shania found love in the end!
