“Oh my God! OK, it’s happening! Everybody stay calm!”

In case you missed last night’s new Saturday Night Live, you missed quite the TV reunion as host Steve Carell was joined on-stage by some familiar faces after an audience member asked him during his opening monologue if The Office will be rebooted.

“It was a great experience, I love all of those people but I just don’t think it’s the best idea… I don’t think it would be as good this time around,” Steve responded. And that’s when his Office co-stars Ellie Kemper, Ed Helms, and Jenna Fischer asked questions of their own from the audience one by one, eventually all joining Steve on-stage.

Excuse me while I internally yell in excitement. OK, I’m back.

“I just don’t think you understand how much money we’re talking about. Like you wouldn’t have to do those sad movies anymore,” Ed, who played Andy Bernard on The Office, explained to Steve. And sure, Steve makes a ton of cash from his movies, but boy, we all want to see Michael Scott back. I’d even take Prison Mike at this point.

The Office has been off the air for five years now, but thanks to streaming services and syndication it has not only stuck with hardcore fans, but it has found a new generation of fans as well. It is also what I end up watching on Netflix after browsing for an hour. It happens every time. But is a reunion actually happening?

“Do you guys want to see an Office reboot?” Steve asked the SNL crowd. “I am proud to announce officially, that we have a great show tonight. Ella Mai is here and we will be right back.”

Steve, why? Why must you do that to us? So chances are we won’t ever see the cast of The Office get back together again, but at least we’ll always have the memories. Like this one:

Glorious.
