Tracker’s Justin Hartley Makes Rare Comments About Wife Sofia Pernas: ‘Having the Time of My Life’

Justin Hartley gushed about his wife and Tracker costar Sofia Pernas, sharing rare insight about how they spend quality time at home amid their busy schedules.

“I don’t know if I’d call it a love story, but there’s a romantic spark and chemistry between the two,” Justin, 48, told USA Today of his Tracker character Colter Shaw’s relationship with Sofia’s character, Billie Matalon, on Friday, March 21. “I enjoy being around her. I’m having the time of my life with this show. I love it. To be able to share it with the people you love makes it even better.”

He revealed the couple’s perfect date night is catching up on their favorite TV shows in their home theater inside their California abode.

“I figure, turn on all the sound in the dark room and get the whole immersive experience,” the This Is Us alum explained. “That’s how these shows were designed to be watched.”

Justin and Sofia, 35, like to support their fellow acting friends’ shows, including Justin’s This Is Us brother Sterling K. Brown’s hit Hulu series Paradise.

However, the pair doesn’t always have the same free-time gap in their schedules, which means they have to binge-watch some shows solo.

“I don’t have a problem if my wife tells me, ‘I watched six episodes’ of whatever we’re watching. It doesn’t bother me,” Justin admitted to the outlet.

Although Justin and Sofia don’t share any kids, they are parents to their goldendoodle, Paisley. Justin has one child, 20-year-old Isabella Justice Hartley, whom he shared with first ex-wife, Lindsay Korman. The exes were married from 2004 to 2012.

“We have this really high-maintenance dog that doesn’t fly. So, we put the dog in the back and drive, and then we stay at hotels,” Justin said of he and Sofia’s frequent family trips visiting MLB stadiums. “I love the game of baseball, and this gives me an excuse to go around the country and realize how big it is and see the different walks of life.”

As for Sofia and Justin’s career, the pair first worked together during an episode of The Young and the Restless, in 2015. Then, they collaborated once again when Sofia made her Tracker debut during season 2, episode 3.

“It’s interesting … It’s fun to play because it’s a safe place to play with that,” Justin told Gayle King on CBS Mornings on February 20. “She’s such a good actor, and they have a complicated past. She betrayed him, and he keeps that in mind when dealing with her.”

“She comes back later on in the season to return a favor that Colter needs. And she does it in a big way and it ends in this pretty, I don’t want to say explosive, but almost heartbreaking thing that happens where she really puts herself on the line for him in a big, big way,” he continued.

Justin and Sofia tied the knot in 2021, the same year that his divorce from his second ex-wife, Chrishell Stause, was finalized.

“We had a justice of the peace come over to the house with a mask on. Sofia and I got out of the pool, and we had our bathing suits on,” the Smallville actor explained during an October 2024 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “[It was] the best wedding in the world.”
