Iconic ’80s rocker Rick Springfield recently had pulses racing as he sang one of his biggest hits at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. Springfield, 77, sang “Jessie’s Girl” and went shirtless at one point, showing he’s still as fit as someone decades younger.
The video clip that has gone viral across social media appears to have originated with an Instagram Reel shared by television producer John Pascarella. The short clip featured Springfield performing the iconic song that the entertainer first released in February 1981.
Springfield played guitar as he sang, wearing black pants and no shirt. The fit entertainer celebrated his 77th birthday just days before the Las Vegas performance, on August 23.

Fans went wild over the video clip. Springfield often performs shirtless, showing off his fit physique. However, it’s not every day that someone records a bit of it and has it go viral on social media.
On Instagram, one fan wrote, “That beautiful man ages backwards.”
On a TMZ Facebook post, another fan commented, “He does that at all of his shows. I saw him a year ago also in Vegas and he strolled shirtless through the audience playing guitar. He’s absolutely amazing.”
“77…Who’s his chef, trainer and doctors? I’ll buy whatever serum he’s taking,” added another fan on X, formerly Twitter.
Another person’s tweet read, “He looks 47! Seriously!”
“That man is 77 years old and just as gorgeous as he was years ago when I had SUCH a crush on him,” read a Facebook comment on another post.
In 2024, Springfield told People, “I still feel like I’m in my 20s in my head, and then you see people dying from old age disease and you go, ‘Wow, I’m the same age as old people.”
Springfield noted he worked out every day, and declared, “Music keeps you young anyway. And rock music definitely keeps you young.”
