Less than three months after announcing his cancer diagnosis, Barry Manilow is sharing a happy update.

“Hi, everyone. Barry Manilow, here. It looks like I made it, and I look fabulous, right?” Manilow said in a Reel shared to Instagram on Tuesday, March 3. “You know, with everything that’s going on in the world, I wanted to check in and share some good news. In fact, it’s great news.”

The Grammy winner continued, “Our latest single, ‘Once Before I Go,’ has entered the top 10 on the pop chart. How do you like that? I’m 100 years old with a top 10 single on the pop charts.”

He went on to announce that his new album, What a Time, would be “out soon” and he “couldn’t wait to show the songs” to the public.

Fans were thrilled with Manilow’s news and several people congratulated him in the comments section.

“Amazing and yes we’ve missed you!” one person wrote. “Great to see the song climb the charts and waiting for the next album drop! Come see us in Texas!”

Another added, “Congratulations Barry! So happy to see you up and about. Here’s to continued healing. Love you!”

In December, the “Mandy” singer, 82, revealed that doctors had discovered a stage one cancerous tumor on his left lung.

“As many of you know I recently went through six weeks of bronchitis followed by a relapse of another five weeks,” Manilow wrote at the time in a message shared via Instagram. “The MRI discovered a cancerous spot on my left lung that needs to be removed: It’s pure luck (and a great doctor) that it was found so early. That’s the good news.”

He added that his doctors didn’t believe the cancer had spread, and while he was forced to cancel a few of his upcoming concerts, he wasn’t expected to need chemo or radiation.

In late February, he gave fans an update on his condition. Despite wanting to return to the stage, his doctors said he wasn’t ready.

As of now, Manilow is expected to begin performing again later this year in June.
