David Cassidy’s Estate Sued Over $120,000 of Unpaid Legal Bills (REPORT)

Two months after David Cassidy's death, the late singer's estate is reportedly being sued for unpaid legal bills totaling around $120,000. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, two lawsuits have been filed against David's estate — one from the law firm Rodier & Rodier for $102,834 and another filed by lawyer Damaso W. Saavedra for $19,006.02.

This allegedly isn't the first time Rodier & Rodier has sued David, who passed away at age 67 from liver failure on Nov. 21, 2017. The law firm reportedly sued The Partridge Family star back in 2013, but David's subsequent bankruptcy filing put the lawsuit on hold. "David filed for bankruptcy a couple of years ago. That bill was part of the bankruptcy," David's rep told People of the situation. The spokesperson added that David's estate is objecting both current lawsuit claims and refusing to pay Rodier & Rodier and Damaso W. Saavedra at this time.

Following David's passing, it was revealed that the singer fully left his $150,000 estate to his son, Beau Cassidy, 26, and left his estranged daughter, Katie Cassidy, 31, entirely out of his will. In the document obtained by The Blast, David wrote that it was his "specific intent not to provide any benefits hereunder to Katherine Evelyn Cassidy and/or any descendant [of hers]." Instead, he insisted that any reference to his "child" meant his son Beau from his third marriage to Sue Shifrin. The shockingly small $150,000 estate will go to his son, and all of his memorabilia will go to his three half-siblings.

Unfortunately, David and Katie weren't close when David was alive. The actor welcomed Katie in November of 1986 with his girlfriend at the time Sherry Williams, and he has revealed in the past that he and Katie don't speak. "I’ve never had a relationship with her," David once told People. "I wasn’t her father. I was her biological father but I didn’t raise her. She has a completely different life."
