It’s A Boy! Eddie Murphy’s Fiancée Paige Butcher Gives Birth To Actor’s 10th Child

Congratulations are in order for Eddie Murphy — he’s officially a father-of-10! The 57-year-old actor and his fiancée, Paige Butcher, 39, welcomed their second child together, a son named Max Charles Murphy, on Friday, Nov. 30, Eddie’s rep confirmed to Us Weekly. “Both mother and son are doing well,” the spokesperson said, adding that baby Max weighed 6 lbs., 11 oz. and was 19 inches long at birth.

The couple previously revealed they were expecting another baby — they welcomed daughter Izzy Oona Murphy, 2, back in 2016 — in August after Paige was spotted with a growing baby bump while out and about in LA. “Eddie Murphy and longtime girlfriend Paige Butcher are pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child in December,” the Shrek star’s rep said at the time.

Just before Paige gave birth, Star magazine reported that Eddie and his longtime love were eager to tie the knot before welcoming their second child. “Eddie only wants to do this once more. There’s no doubt in his mind, Paige is The One!” a source said. “Paige can’t wait to marry Eddie… In her mind, the sooner the better!”

In addition to Izzy and baby Max, the former Saturday Night Live cast member is also a proud dad to Bria, 29, Miles, 26, Shayne, 24, Zola, 18, and Bella, 16, with ex-wife Nicole Murphy. He also has son Christian, 28, with Tamara Hood, son Eric, 29, with Paulette McNeely and a daughter, Angel, 11, with Mel B.

Back in 2016, Eddie gushed about being a dad. “I really got lucky with my kids. There really isn’t a bad one in the bunch, everyone turned out to be really good people,” he once shared. “None of my kids are like me, and I’m sure parents say this all of the time, they are all totally different from each other. None of them are chips off the old block. They all have their own thing, They’re good kids.” Congrats again to Eddie and Paige on the birth of their baby boy, Max!
