‘The Talk’ Alum Elaine Welteroth Welcomes Baby No. 2 With Jonathan Singletary, Reveals Son’s Name

Elaine Welteroth is officially a mom of two! The Talk alum announced the arrival of her second child, son SantiGold Singletary, with her husband, Jonathan Singletary.

“We are all healthy and happy to be together and learning each other,” she told People on Tuesday, November 19.

Though she has been loving motherhood for the second time around, she admitted there were some big adjustments to her daily routine after the baby’s arrival.

“I’m not sure my brain is operating at full capacity,” the journalist told the outlet. “I’m sleep-deprived, but I’m good, I’m good.”

The pair are already parents to another son, whose name they have kept private. The TV personality explained the meaning behind her new baby’s name and why she decided to share it with the public.

“I wasn’t originally going to but I’m just so obsessed with his name,” the doting mom revealed. “His name means peace in Thai and it means Saint in Spanish.”

And Elaine, 37, is thrilled that her eldest son is already embracing being a big brother and helping out his mom at home with the new baby.

“My older son jumped right onto the bed where I gave birth and just immediately started patting his head and rubbing his back and wanting to help,” she explained. “He’s going to be the best big brother.”

Elaine first revealed her second pregnancy in June at her birthFUND Brunch Fundraiser.

“This was not part of my plan. This is God’s plan. But as we were building birthFUND, I happened to find out that my baby’s going to be part of the first birthFund cohort. So, let’s go! Let’s go,” she said during her speech at the event. “And Kimberly and Allegra are my midwives again. So let’s do this, joyfully. Thank you all so much.”

Elaine shared an update on her second pregnancy and how it was a bit different than her first.

“So good and so much better than I did last time because this time I have a midwife from the beginning,” she told People at the time. “Last time I didn’t even discover midwifery until my third trimester. I didn’t even work up the nerve to do a home birth until week 36. So this time, my experience of pregnancy has transformed because I have access.”

“I think I’m just in such a different stage of life,” she added. “My mindset is in a different place. I found out about this pregnancy when I was in the beginning of building birthFUND. I was building my team. I was making hires. I was working around the clock, literally 16-hour days, just back-to-back.”
