George Clooney is sporting a new look – and some are doing a double take! The Academy Award winner was spotted out with a darker hairstyle, trading in his famous silver locks for brunette tresses.

In photos obtained by Page Six, George, 63, was seen grabbing lunch with his wife, Amal Clooney, with his newly dyed brown hair on full display. He wore a black leather jacket, khaki pants and white sneakers for the outing, accessorizing his look with a pair of sunglasses.

Amal, 47, stunned in a pair of blue jeans with a white top and a houndstooth jacket, as well as a pair of sunglasses.

George first revealed that he would be dyeing his hair for his Broadway debut in Good Night, and Good Luck.

“My wife is going to hate it because nothing makes you look older than when an older guy dyes his hair,” the Wolfs actor said during a February 20 interview with The New York Times.

“My kids are going to just laugh at me nonstop,” he added of twins Alexander and Ella, 7.

George also made a funny comment about his son, who is a big fan of Batman.

“My son’s favorite hero is Batman. I’m like, ‘You know I was Batman.’ He’s like, ‘Not really.’ I go, ‘You have no idea how right you are,’” George said. “If he knew that I was that Batman, he’d never have respect for me.”

The Kentucky native portrayed Batman in 1997’s Batman & Robin, alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chris O’Donnell and Uma Thurman.

George will be portraying Edward R. Murrow in the stage production of Good Night, and Good Luck, based on the 2005 historical drama film in which he was part of. The role required George and his family to move to New York City for six months.

“They love New York!” George said on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert last month.

“I mean, come on, how do you not love this, it’s New York City,” George said. “They love being here.”

“Actually, a play is kind of a good schedule because, you know, you’re working at night, you get to see the kids during the day, so it’s OK,” the dad of two explained.

In an August 2024 interview with GQ, George said that moving to the Big Apple was a good thing because it would allow him to experience new things with his kids.

“That’s going to be six months of my life in New York. But again, it’s like we’re talking about time allotment. I won’t do another thing,” he told the outlet. “I’m going to give myself time with my kids. I really enjoy driving them to school, and my wife and I are having a really wonderful time. So I don’t want to lose all of that.”

“But this is an opportunity to do something that I have never done before. I’ve never been on Broadway,” George reflected. “So we’re still trying to do things and new things and try things, but we’re also saying, ‘Well, let’s also remember that we want to see our life in a kind of nice way too.’ A little of both. Everything in moderation, including moderation.”
