Host Graham Norton joked, “Well, not by accident.”
The Hell’s Kitchen star continued, “She was with a critic that absolutely panned the restaurant prior, and they turned back up, literally, a few months later. I said to this critic, ‘Thanks, but no thanks,’ but Joan was his guest and she was furious.”
When Norton, 62, asked if Ramsay left Collins, 92, and the unidentified restaurant critic at their table for a “long time,” the professional chef clarified.

“Well, they refused to go,” Ramsay explained. “So, I just asked my maître d’ to strip the table down to the bare wood.”
Ramsay went on to say that he did apologize to the Dynasty star after the guffaw, calling it a “big hiccup.” At first, Ramsay said that “still to this day she’s never forgiven me,” but he couldn’t hold back his smile when Norton seemed shocked.
“No, she’s fine,” Ramsay said with a laugh. “We made up.”
The Hotel Hell alum added that it was “hard” being judged by individuals who knew less about food than professionals like himself and social media has made the situation worse.
“Now, today, everyone’s got a phone. Everyone’s a critic and these things go viral in seconds.”
