The late Queen Elizabeth II would have turned 100 on Tuesday, April 21, and the royal family plans to celebrate the day, Buckingham Palace confirmed to People on Friday, April 10.

According to People, King Charles, 77, and Queen Camilla, 78, will visit the new Royal Collection Trust exhibit, Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style on Monday, April 20. The showcase, which opened on April 4, is touted as the largest-ever display of the monarch’s fashion and features pieces from all ten decades of her life. Elizabeth died at 96 in 2022.

They’ll further honor the family matriarch the following day when they and other members of the royal family meet with design teams working on The Queen Elizabeth Memorial at the British Museum. There, they’ll reportedly see a scale model of the memorial and meet with the artists producing works for it.

The outlet reports that later that day, Princess Anne will officially open the Queen Elizabeth II Garden in Regent’s Park, London, offering the public a quiet place to reflect on her legacy right in the heart of London.

The day will finally conclude with a reception at Buckingham Palace that the king and queen will attend. Not only will it be a celebration of the queen’s legacy, but it will also celebrate other British citizens marking their 100th birthday as well.

Charles traditionally sends out a special message for citizens hitting the big age milestone, but it seems he’ll do it in person on his late mother’s birthday.
