Colin Farrell Has Reportedly Rekindled a Friendship With ‘Alexander’ Costar Angelina Jolie

Despite living a life of fame and fortune, Angelina Jolie has always a notoriously private person. In fact, the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider star once admitted that her ex-husband Brad Pitt was the only person she really spoke with considering she only has “a few girlfriends.”

“I stay home a lot. I’m just not very social,” the 43-year-old admitted to Marie Claire in 2011. “I don’t do a lot with [friends], and I’m very homebound.” Now, since becoming a single mom to her six growing kids, Angelina’s social calendar has further been ripped to shreds. However, there is one person that the Angelina has reportedly been in recent contact with over the past few months: Colin Farrell.

In fact, Grazia recently reported that Angelina’s Alexander costar — and rumored beau at the time of 2004 film — is allegedly the sole reason why she made a rare and unexpected appearance at the premiere of Colin’s new film Dumbo on March 11. Angelina stepped out and donned a huge smile while at the L.A. event with Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 12, and her 10-year-old twins, Vivienne and Knox, earlier this month.

Colin, 42, had apparently extended the invite to the Oscar winner after they got back in touch nearly 14 years they were a rumored couple while filming Alexander in Morocco.

“Colin and Angelina have been friends for a long time and have both come such a long way since the days when it was common knowledge in the industry that they were hooking up,” a source close to the two dished to the magazine.

“Colin is a changed man — more into clean-living and charity than anything else since getting sober 12 years ago, and he’s a doting dad,” the insider added, referring to his sons James, 15, and Henry, 9, from previous relationships. “Angelina is almost a different person now from her former self, much more calm and grounded.”

It’s good to hear that these two have apparently reunited after all these years.
