Jane Seymour, 75, is newly engaged to John Zambetti, her beau of three years. The Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman star confirmed the engagement news this week and admits that until meeting Zambetti, she had given up on finding love again.
Seymour showed off her stunning vintage ring while gushing over her new fiancé during an appearance at the Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony on June 11.
While chatting with Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet, Seymour joked that Zambetti was “down there hiding somewhere” as she did interviews.
She indicated that they aren’t necessarily calling this an engagement. Rather, Seymour shared, they say they are “entwined.” She added, “We’re just going to be together forever.”
Zambetti is a musician who has performed with the band The Malibooz for decades, and has released new music in recent years, created after meeting his “muse,” Seymour.
Seymour explained that Zambetti found the engagement ring in a vintage store and fell in love with it. It features two main diamonds, set side by side, which Seymour represents each of them individually.
What Seymour has learned is that the style of the stunning diamond ring was originally designed for Napoleon Bonaparte for his first wife, Josephine.
She explained that Zambetti “was very happily married for 43 years until his wife passed.” Seymour, who has been divorced four times, said she had given up on love before falling for Zambetti.
Zambetti and Seymour went “Instagram official” in October 2023. At the time, she shared a pair of photos showing them together and noted in the caption, “I’ve never been happier.”

During a recent appearance on Today, Seymour said, “I have never been happier in my life, and I’m absolutely committed to this happiness forever.”
In addition to finding love again at the age of 75, Seymour is still steadily working.
She had a role in Hallmark’s limited-run series The Twelve Dates ‘Til Christmas in 2025, and has been promoting Season 5 of Harry Wild. Her Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman co-star, Joe Lando, is joining the cast, and fans cannot wait to check it out.
