Kim Basinger is reflecting on her career — specifically her role alongside Bruce Willis in the 1987 romantic comedy, Blind Date.
The actress, 72, shared a series of clips on Instagram on Friday, March 27 of her and Willis, 71, from the hit film. There’s no audio in the video, but Basinger scored it all to AC/DC’s You Shook Me All Night Long.
“Nobody could’ve been a better partner than Bruce Willis for this movie… Blind date was such an opportunity for us all to work with Blake Edwards and just let it loose,” she wrote. “And as you can see… We did just that… When Blake said go we just went… Can’t believe it’s been 39 years… So blessed… Thank you all.”

In the film, Willis’ character gets set up on a blind date with Basinger’s character, only to discover that she becomes a different person when she drinks, which leads to a series of disasters that blows up both of their lives as they somehow discover they’ve fallen in love.
It’s unclear what prompted the trip down memory lane for Basinger. Willis retired from acting in 2022, and his family announced that he was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) the next year.

His wife, Emma Heming Willis, revealed on a January 2026 episode of Cameron Oaks Rogers’ podcast, Conversations with Cam, that his illness prevents the Die Hard star from knowing he’s got an illness of any kind, per People.
“I think that’s like the blessing and the curse of this, is that he never connected the dots that he had this disease, and I’m really happy about that,” she said. “I’m really happy that he doesn’t know about it.”
