Meghan Is Reportedly Doing ‘All She Can To Butter Up The Queen’ Amid Her Feud With Kate

The royal family is in desperate need of an intervention! Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are reportedly still duking it out over securing the coveted role as Queen Elizabeth‘s favorite great-granddaughter-in-law. Despite the fact that Meghan is a royal-newbie, it seems the 37-year-old’s not-so-subtle tactics to win over the Queen have put her in the lead. Poor Kate!

According to In Touch, “Meghan’s doing all she can to butter up the woman who currently wears the crown.” So much so, that the former Suits actress wants the whole world to know just how much she admires the 92-year-old monarch.  

When producers approached the family about participating in ITV’s Queen of the World documentary about Elizabeth II, “Meghan jumped at the chance to be interviewed before Kate got a say in it,” an insider told the publication. “Meghan is using the opportunity to let the world know how amazing the queen is in a bid to suck up to her even more.”

Even if Meghan is seemingly winning over the Queen, Kate isn’t going down without a fight. When the mother-of-three and Prince William headed to Balmoral, the Queen’s 50,000-acre Scottish retreat, to spend time with the head of the House of Windsor in late August, “Kate went out of her way to turn on the charm and impress the queen,” the insider continued. 

“But all the Queen talked about was how amazing Meghan is, which really upset Kate.” Ouch! Elizabeth’s obvious favoritism stings Kate all the more because she’s the woman who instructed Meghan on the ins and outs of royal life! 

“Meghan learned everything she knows from Kate. But since the wedding, Kate feels like Meghan has barely made any effort with her and is more interested in impressing the Queen,” another royal insider revealed to In Touch. “To be fair, Meghan has been busy. But Kate feels like she’s put a lot of effort into their friendship and hasn’t gotten much in return.”
