Morning Joe’s Mika Brzezinski Documents Intense Couples Workout With Husband Joe Scarborough

Journalist Mika Brzezinski shared her first moments back home after recently reporting on an overseas women’s summit, which included a partner workout with her husband, Joe Scarborough.

“First day back – couples workout. Ouch,” Mika, 57, captioned the Sunday, March 9, Instagram post along with the hashtags “jetlag,” “startagain,” “pressreset,” “resilience,” “knowyouvalue.”

The political talk show host shared a few photos of the workout in the roundup, including a snapshot of herself behind the camera while on a jump box as Joe completed his moves on the floor. Mika also shared a selfie while seemingly distraught from the workout, rocking black sunglasses as she laid opposite of Joe, 61, on the floor. The final picture was similar to the second photo, however this time, Mika held an orange dumbbell to her face.

Fans were equally impressed with Mika’s back-to-the-grind hustle and how she and Joe spend their quality time together.

“Hey, I dig you and Joe. Rock on,” one fan commented, while a second gushed, “You and Joe are my dream first couple!”

The Morning Joe cohosts kicked off 2025 by bringing another life into their household, a gorgeous ponytail palm plant.

“Happy SUNday. I am obsessed with my ponytail palm. Her name is Serratcha. Along with @joescarborough we are looking ahead to sunny skies and maybe more sleep! #love #sleep #flowers #ponytailpalms,” Mika captioned her January 26 post.

Mika also shared a selfie of herself with Joe in front of a bush of flowers and sporting sun-kissed faces. The following month, she gushed about how much she likes her husband in a behind-the-scenes selfie.

While the couple don’t mind sharing a selfie from time to time, they like to keep the cherished parts of their relationship private. That doesn’t mean they don’t share sweet gestures on camera, though. In May 2024, Joe surprised his wife for her birthday by bringing Dan Kilcoyne, the President and CEO of Mini Melts Ice Cream, onto the Morning Joe episode.

“So, Joe arranged this whole entire thing,” Dan told Mika. “I mean, the thing with Mini Melts is, we want to make sure we bring moments of joy to everybody, so we brought a big moment of joy for your birthday here today.”

Joe chimed in and shared just how much Mika loves the sweet treats, no matter what time of the night it is.

“On weekend mornings, she’ll wake me up at 5 or 5:15,” he explained. “I’ll go get her coffee. I’ll drive back. But I will tell you at night, when she’s half asleep, she’ll go, ‘I need Mini Melts.’ And I’ll go down to the garage and get back up. No, I’m telling you, she’s obsessive about it.”

Joe and Mika have been married since 2018 after meeting in 2007. Mika was previously married to ex-husband Jim Hoffer between 1993-2016, with whom she shares daughters Emilie and Carlie Hoffer. Joe, for his part, has four kids Joey, Andrew, Kate and Jack. Joe shares his eldest kids, Joey and Andrew, with first ex-wife Melanie Hinton. He shares Kate and Jack with second ex-wife Susan Waren.
