Hallmark fans are buzzing over the finale of the limited-run series Paris Is Always a Good Idea. Star Lacey Chabert had teased that there were some twists and turns in store for viewers heading into the final moments, and it seems that everybody was pleased with how everything played out. Now, fans are hoping for a second season of the series. Are the show’s stars open to the idea?
Several of the show’s cast members chatted with Just Jared about whether they would be interested in revisiting the series for additional episodes.
Paris Is Always a Good Idea was promoted as a single, limited-run show with just six episodes, based on the Jenn McKinlay book of the same name. Chabert admitted she isn’t necessarily ready to say goodbye to Chelsea Martin for good, even if the book itself didn’t continue the story.
She told the media outlet, “One of my favorite things is to see how a story continues and oftentimes these stories end with the characters finally in love and I always want to see them in the relationship.”
Chabert continued, “So if that were ever a chance, I think there are a lot of stories in this that people will want to see continued.”
Scott Michael Foster, who played Jason Knightly, also weighed in on the idea. He said he was “absolutely” open to doing another season.
He added, “I love everyone involved…super talented lovely people. And at this point, I just want to work with people I know and like. And also the story is great.”
Foster added, “I love Hallmark. They make such a good feeling on set.” Paris Is Always a Good Idea wasn’t Foster’s first Hallmark project. He also starred in Return to Office in 2025, as well as Love, for Real and In the Key of Love.
Both Chabert and Foster already have ideas regarding what they could envision happening in an additional season. The Hallmark stars suggested that Chelsea and Knightly would likely be traveling the world together, and fans would surely want to see updates on Chelsea’s father, sister, and new stepmother, as well.

Rebecca Hanssen, who portrayed Chelsea’s sister, Annabelle Martin, is also game to do more. As viewers saw in the Paris Is Always a Good Idea finale, a cliffhanger was tossed in for Annabelle.
When asked about a potential second season, Hanssen gushed, “Oh my gosh, if I get that phone call, I will be there in an instant. I would love to do it.”
Many Hallmark fans shared their thoughts on Reddit as the finale aired, and they made it clear that they also want to see more.
“Hoping they make a sequel,” one fan commented.
Another added, “Me too! I really enjoyed the series and I would love to see the sister’s story (and of course, more Chelsea and Knightly).”
Someone else agreed, commenting, “I do hope there’s a season two. I want little Martin to find love too, and I need to know how Martin & Knightly’s happy-ever-after looks like.”
An additional fan on Reddit raved, “Omg one of the best finales in years!” That viewer added, “I need there to be a season 2/spinoff about Annabelle and hopefully we will still get to see Martin/Knightly and see how they have been!”
Will Hallmark listen to the show’s stars and fans and greenlight a second season of Paris Is Always a Good Idea? The network hasn’t publicly revealed anything on that front yet, but fans are hopeful.
