Michelle Obama Seemingly Upgraded Her Engagement Ring — Get The Details On Her Stunning New Rock! (EXCLUSIVE)
What a lucky lady! Michelle Obama has been super busy lately promoting her new memoir, Becoming, and eagle-eyed fans have noticed that Barack Obama‘s wife seems to be sporting a recently upgraded engagement ring and wedding band in new photos.
In an exclusive new interview, Closer Weekly chatted with Kathryn Money, Vice President of Strategy and Merchandising at Brilliant Earth, about how the former First Lady’s original ring compares to her updated bling.
“Michelle’s original engagement ring features a 1-carat round diamond in a classic yellow gold solitaire setting. Depending on the quality and specific characteristics of the center diamond, we estimate the cost of the ring at $5,000 to $20,000,” Kathryn told Closer of the engagement ring Barack gave Michelle prior to their October 1992 wedding.
