Prince Harry’s Montecito, California, home was on display in a new video about the 2025 WellChild Awards.

The clip, released on the organization’s YouTube page on Tuesday, January 28, showed Harry, 40, standing outside of his home.

“Each year, the WellChild Awards, in association with GSK, recognize and celebrate the growing number of young people with complex medical conditions from across the United Kingdom as well as those who go the extra mile to care for them,” he said in the video. “They allow us to shine a spotlight on the remarkable stories of strength, resilience and courage that they demonstrate every single day.”

“This year is especially significant as we celebrate the 20th WellChild Awards,” the Spare author said. “It is a true privilege to honor the bravery and compassion of this incredible community. And to make this happen we need your help to nominate the exceptional people who inspire you every single day. Your support can make all the difference, so please join us in recognizing the amazing individuals who will be honored at the 2025 WellChild Awards.”

Viewers might recognize the background from a previous video when him and his wife, Meghan Markle, spoke at the Global Ministerial Conference on Violence Against Children.

“We are at a crossroads where the urgency to reassess and redefine our approach to protecting children has become increasingly evident,” the Duke of Sussex said in the November 2024 video. “While the necessity has always been apparent, it is now time to translate that awareness into meaningful action. So, we thank you all for your attention to this critical issue.”

“My husband and I recognize today’s reality is marked by greater connectivity and advanced technology — which, of course, has many positives,” Meghan, 43, added. “Which also compels us to better understand how digital violence against children is manifesting itself in this age.”

Meghan and Harry have been living in Montecito since 2020 after stepping back from their royal duties. They’ve shared glimpses of their abode in clips and videos shared on social media and virtual appearances.

In December 2024, Harry put speculation to rest after rumors began swirling that he was planning on moving back to the U.K. with Meghan and their kids, Archie and Lilibet, whom they welcomed in 2019 and 2021, respectively.

“I very much enjoy living here and bringing up my kids here,” he said during the New York Times DealBook Summit. “It’s a part of my life that I never thought that I was gonna live.”

The Invictus Games founder said that his mom, the late Princess Diana, would want to see him happy.

“I feel as though it’s the life that my mom wanted for me,” Harry revealed. “To be able to do the things I’m able to do with my kids that I undoubtedly wouldn’t be able to do in the U.K., it’s huge. I’m hugely grateful for that.”

An insider previously told Closer that Harry felt comfortable living in the U.S. with his family.

“It was very difficult to leave England, but Harry put his wife and family first,” the insider told Closer in September 2024. “It’s made his relationship with Meghan so much stronger, and they’re still very much in love.”
