Princess Diana’s Former Retreat Is on the Market for $33.5 Million

An English estate that used to host Princess Diana for getaways years ago is up for sale. The Ormeley Lodge, previously owned by Lady Annabel Goldsmith, is located in South West London. It is priced at $33.5 million.

As People noted, the late Princess Diana is believed to have confronted Camilla Parker Bowles at the Ormeley Lodge. The two women, along with then-Prince Charles, were attending a 1989 party at the estate being held for Camilla’s sister, Annabel Elliot.

Diana reportedly confronted Camilla over her ongoing relationship with Charles.

Charles and Diana were married from 1981 to 1992, and their divorce was finalized in 1996. Charles and Camilla went public with their romance in 1999 and married in 2005.

The Ormeley Lodge has been listed for sale after the October 2025 death of the Goldsmith family matriarch, who was 91.

According to Country & Town House, Diana visited the Ormeley Lodge frequently throughout the 1990s. There were “legendary” lunches held each Sunday, and Diana would often attend with Princes William and Harry in tow.

Annabel’s youngest son, Ben Goldsmith, told The Times that Diana “was incredibly close with my mother for the last decade of her life. She was there constantly, lying by the pool.” Ben often played with William and Harry.

During those years, actor Hugh Grant was also a frequent visitor to the home, as he was dating Ben’s sister, Jemima Goldsmith.

The property is listed with Sotheby’s International Realty. Consisting of nearly 16,000 square feet of living space, the home features 10 bedrooms and seven bathrooms.

The house sits on 2.3 acres of private land that includes walled gardens, a swimming pool, an all-weather tennis court, and an aviary. There are also several additional buildings on the property, including a detached 3-bedroom cottage.

The home features high ceilings, a grand staircase, original ornate fireplaces, and a wine cellar, along with a “magnificent” master suite.
