Kate Hudson Adores Danny Fujikawa! Get to Know the ‘Almost Famous’ Star’s Fiance

Danny Fujikawa is the lucky man whos’s been dating Kate Hudson for quite some time now, but there’s still a lot you might not know about the actress’ fiancé. Aside from his celebrity relationship status, Danny is an actor, record label owner and loving father of one.

The How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days actress and the Scumbag star first romantically linked around late 2016, but their history goes way back to the early 2000s. At the time Kate shared a photo of the duo kissing in December 2017, the Almost Famous alum revealed they’ve known each other for almost two decades.

“A year ago today, Danny took me on a hike and what I thought was just a hike with a family friend turned very quickly into an unexpected first date,” she wrote on Instagram. “No moves were made on this first date. In fact, it took months for him to make a first move!”

Kate said although she wishes Danny would’ve planted a sweet smooch on her lips, waiting to share the special moment “was so much sweeter,” she noted. “So, on our 15th year of knowing each other, we were able to open our hearts to each other to feel so much pure love and it’s been truly incredible!”

Throughout their romance, Kate and Danny have celebrated many exciting milestones together. Aside from filling in as the stepdad to Kate’s two sons, Ryder and Bingham, the Burt & Bart composer is also the loving father of his and Kate’s first child together, daughter Rani Rose.

While the Bride Wars actress pointed out that she doesn’t have the most “traditional setup” when it comes to her kids, as she shares Ryder with ex-husband Chris Robinson and Bingham with ex Matt Bellamy, Kate said she has “zero regrets” about her family.

“I’ve never defined myself through the way that a man sees me,” she explained to People earlier in 2020. “But I can define myself in the unit that we can create together.”

The Golden Globe winner also praised Danny for effortlessly completing their adorable blended family. “He makes me feel beautiful every single moment of the day, even when we have fought,” she marveled. “I still feel loved. His devotion to the family unit makes me feel safe and confident and secure.”

In September 2021, the couple revealed they were engaged in a sweet Instagram post. “Let’s go!” Kate captioned a photo of her and her man while showing off her engagement ring.
