‘General Hospital’ fans wonder if Ava will kill Jack Brennan after slipping a pill in his drink, as actor Chris McKenna drops cryptic hints about the character’s fate.
With Chris McKenna‘s Jack Brennan slated to be killed off General Hospital some time soon, fans have been speculating how the character would be written off the canvas. With Ava slipping what she thinks is a sleeping pill into Jack’s drink, many audience members wonder if this coming week could be it for the character. A cryptic tweet from the actor has also added to the speculation.
Will GH’s Ava Kill Jack?
GH’s most recent Friday cliffhanger left fans hanging as Ava (Maura West) slipped the crushed-up pill into Jack’s drink at the Metro Court Gardens while he walked away to take a phone call. The day before, Ava’s BFF, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), had a blowup with Jack in the same restaurant and threatened him, something all guests, including Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), heard.
When Drew (Cameron Mathison) first handed Ava the pill and asked her to distract Jack so he could steal incriminating files from his hotel room, Ava was hesitant to drug a WSB agent. Drew told Ava it was a simple generic sleeping pill, but was he telling her the truth or is Ava’s act about to kill Jack, leaving her best friend as one of the prime suspects in his murder?
On Friday evening, McKenna took to X with a bit of a hint of what may be to come when he tweeted, “Jack right now,” as the caption to a gif of WWE’s Gingerbread Man being pummeled. In May of this year, Smackdown’s Gingerbread Man was “killed,” with a full mock funeral taking place on May 8, according to WWE.com.
One devoted fan pointed out that the Gingerbread Man was soon resurrected, writing, “In the end the Gingerbread man came out on top at the end of this story. I’m hoping the same for my Brennan.” Another viewer concurred, tweeting, “Just remember that the gingerbread man came out on top in that story and hopefully so will Brennan.”
Other fans expressed their hope that this was not the end of the character they have grown to love, with one viewer saying simply, “We will miss you Jack Brennan.”
