‘General Hospital’ Fans Can’t Get Enough of Dante’s Surprising New Direction

General Hospital’s Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) has not had an easy few years. After losing his fiancée, Sam (Kelly Monaco), who had just donated part of her liver to his comatose ex-wife, Lulu (Alexa Havins), he had to deal with Lulu emerging from her coma after four years. Now, he’s just learned that his teenage son shot a dangerous and crooked international agent. However, he has had a calming presence to counter his angst — and fans like what they see.

General Hospital’s Dante Has a Crush

Dante Falconeri and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) have known one another for years, but until recently, their scenes have been few and far between. Over the last few months, GH has decided to change things up. Dante and Elizabeth have been spending an awful lot of time together, with Dante looking at Elizabeth in a new way.

Elizabeth seems to be oblivious to Dante’s feelings because she has decided to give Ric (Rick Hearst) another chance, after giving him countless chances for decades. But now that Dante and Liz share a secret — the knowledge that Rocco shot WSB Director Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) — they have something to bond them. Elizabeth can’t tell Ric what she knows and Dante can use Liz as a shoulder to lean on as he navigates how to keep his son out of trouble.

GH fans did not see a possible Dante and Elizabeth romance coming, but so far are enjoying this unexpected potential pairing. Some viewers paid special attention to recent scenes in which Elizabeth looked quite nice when checking up on Dante. She may have been meeting Ric later, but she made time for Dante first.

“Liz stopping by to check on Dante before a date night…..I see what she did there,” one X user wrote.

Others have been seeing Dante in a different light now that he’s been sharing scenes with Elizabeth. “I’m not even a Dante fan and I genuinely want to see where this relationship with Elizabeth goes. I love unexpected chemistry and ships. I need them,” one fan said.

Another is thrilled that Elizabeth is getting some love, saying, “I have been waiting 25 years for #GH to pair Elizabeth with a man who was worthy of her. And Dante is the best option I can think of! I love this!”
