How Did Angelina Jolie and Colin Farrell Meet? It All Started 15 Years Ago on the Set of ‘Alexander’
It’s always fun learning how celebrities came to know each other, so let’s look at how Angelina Jolie and Colin Farrell met back in the day. Even though it’s been 15 years since they worked together on set, it hasn’t taken away from the fact that they have remained close pals throughout the years.
The 43-year-old actress met the 42-year-old actor when they costarred in Oliver Stone‘s Alexander, the 2004 epic drama about the Macedonian king, Alexander the Great. While the film didn’t fare well at the box office and was mainly forgotten about, the friendship the two stars made has stayed strong. Most recently, the pair got in touch again thanks to Colin’s latest movie, Dumbo.
According to Grazia magazine, the sole reason that the Girl, Interrupted star attended the Hollywood premiere of the live-action Disney film in Hollywood on March 20 was to see the Irish hunk again — even though she did bring a few of her kids along. The outlet revealed that Colin had actually personally invited the Oscar winner to the event after getting back in touch.
“Colin and Angelina have been friends for a long time and have both come such a long way,” a source close to the two told the mag. “Colin is a changed man — more into clean-living and charity than anything else since getting sober 12 years ago, and he’s a doting dad.” They also noted that Brad Pitt‘s ex has changed from who she used to be, too. “Angelina is almost a different person now from her former self, much more calm and grounded.”
Angelina and Colin’s bond has apparently always been quite special. A source recently told Life & Style that the duo have “always had a deep connection.” They added, “And since Angie’s breakup from Brad, Colin has been back in touch.”
“They really like and respect each other,” the insider continued. “They have talked about getting together, probably in London, and soon.”
Well we hope that meeting occurs because this is one longtime friendship we are rooting for!
