Josh Duhamel Is a Hero, Catches a Mouse While Visiting the ‘Today’ Show — Watch!

He saved the day! When Josh Duhamel appeared on the Today show on Tuesday, Feb. 27, he probably didn't think he'd be doing more than his scheduled interview. But the 45-year-old quickly had to whip out his major mouse-catching skills and luckily for us, Al Roker got it all on camera. Check out the video above to watch Josh as he hilariously catches the pesky mouse!

"Kudos to @JoshDuhamel for catching the mouse [in] our @TodayShow #greenroom this morning," Al wrote in his Instagram caption. And it sounds like the little critter has been crawling around the green room for quite some time now. "Josh Duhamel, you caught the green room mouse?" the Today weatherman asked the actor, to which he excitedly exclaimed, "We got him!"

But Josh truly shined when the mouse escaped capture. The Safe Haven star went to show off the mouse to Al when it jumped out of the cup he was holding it in. Josh acted fast, though, and quickly recaptured the mouse without even blinking an eye. After all the excitement, the father-of-one hilariously decided to just leave the mouse and the cup sitting on the counter of the green room. "Oh yeah, just leave it there for somebody," Al joked. And then Josh had to appear on live television — hopefully, he didn't work up too much of a sweat.

Josh has always had a profound love for nature, so maybe he has some previous experience catching mice — it sure seems like it, at least. "Wherever I’m living, whether I’m home or on the road, I need to be someplace that has easy access to the outdoors," he revealed to People back in April 2017.

The actor is instilling the same love into his son, Axl. "He’ll go exploring and gathering things — whether it’s flowers or rocks. He really has a fascination with sticks. He’s just like me — he loves to be out there, he loves to get outside," he continued. "For me, it’s important to get my son interested in that kind of stuff and excited about the adventures of the great outdoors as much as possible."

Josh shares the four-year-old with singer Fergie, whom he was married to for eight years. The couple sadly announced that they were separating last year. He is reportedly now dating actress Eiza Gonzalez, according to Entertainment Tonight.
