Though the Queen has warmly welcomed Kate Middleton into the royal family, there is one member of Kate's inner circle who was not allowed at Sandringham House this year. And no, it's not baby George!
The Duke and Duchess were unable to bring their cocker spaniel Lupo to the Christmas festivities after the Queen banned all furry outsiders from attending. And it appears the snub was for good reason, according to reports.
Last year, the Queen's beloved corgis teamed up against Princess Beatrice's Norfolk terrier Max, attacking the dog to the point of inflicting extensive flesh wounds.
And back in 2003, the Princess Royal's bull terrier Florence caused irreparable damage to one of the Queen's elderly corgis, Pharos.
So we guess we can't blame her for wanting to prevent a royal ruckus this year with little Lupo!
And though we don't have any new holiday pictures of the 2-year-old pup, why not look through this adorable assortment anyway!
