On Sunday, April 13, Bobby Exley made his return to Tracker in season 2, episode 16, putting an end to speculation about what happened to his character.

The episode saw Colter Shaw help solve the case of two missing snowboarders in Montana, letting his survival skills shine in freezing temperatures. Bobby, played by Eric Graise, was seen with Randy, his cousin, in his office, returning to work after missing multiple episodes in season 2.

“I am taking it one day at a time. But I had to come back and fix this mess. This man got chip dust all over my keyboard and gummy worms all over the place,” Bobby told Reenie Greene on the phone after coming back to work following his friend’s funeral. “Randy has done enough damage to my vibe.”

“Vibe? That is what you call this place? A vibe?” Randy, played by Chris Lee, asked. “He is disrespecting my gummy worms and that is not cool, dude.”

“You know I hooked this place up. If you would have given me two more months, I would have had you operating at full level,” he continued. “Could you not touch that? Could you not disconnect that? See that right there? It is just mean.”

Fans of the show quickly shared how happy they were to see Bobby make his way back after missing him for several episodes.

“For a min I was convinced randy was Bobby replacement until they finally gave us Bobby back #trackercbs,” one person wrote on X.

“BOBBY FINALLY IS BACK ABOUT TIME #trackercbs,” another person wrote on X.

Another said, “Love having Bobby back #Tracker.”

On Tracker’s Instagram account, comments from fans echoed the same sentiment underneath a clip from season 2, episode 16.

“Welcome back Bobby. We missed you. Man, what an episode. My heart was racing. I wanted to hop thru the TV and take those dudes OUT!!!!!” someone else commented.

“I am so happy Bobby is back,” another commented.

“I love the cousin interaction,” another person shared.

While many were happy to see Bobby back, others were not feeling the gruesome twists and turns that the episode took.

“This episode was the worst one yet! Why all this dark crazy violent stuff? Not gonna stick around if it stays this way. Please do better , writers!” one person said.

“This show has gotten too weird for us. We’re out,” another remarked.

“This show is becoming too violent for me to watch! Sorry to lose this show, which I used to love!” another commenter posted.

“I’m with the majority of these comments. Tonight’s episode was disgusting and way too dark,” someone else penned. “This show was perfect last season! But from the random storyline with no focus on Colter’s family mysteries due to two of the actors getting booked on different series to the increased violence this season… what is going on?! Get back to basics (KISS!) and focus on what y’all were doing in season 1. Heck, I don’t even care if you have to recast Colter’s sister and brother at this point. It’d be better than whatever THIS is. I really hope you get renewed for a third season but only if you can turn things around.”

The show has already been renewed for season 3, CBS revealed earlier this year. No official premiere date has been set yet, however, the season is expected to air between 2025 and 2026.
