Fall — with its crisp air and beautiful foliage — is one of the most wonderful times to visit Scotland.

So it makes perfect sense that Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, 16 weeks pregnant with her second child and suffering from acute morning sickness, would whisk her husband, Prince William, and their 16-month-old son, Prince George, to Balmoral Castle on Oct. 30 for some much needed R&R.

The lush, private estate has been in the royal family since 1852, and while it currently serves as a simple country retreat, William and Kate will eventually inherit Balmoral (along with the throne!) when they become the king and queen of England.

"The Queen puts her trust in Kate and William being the future of the royal family," royals insider Anne Chertoff tells 'Closer.'

Which means Queen Elizabeth II, William's 88-year-old grandmother, is already training the couple to lead the nation.

William and Kate, both 32, "are seeing her much more, out of the public eye, so she can pass on her advice and life lessons," shares another insider.

While the young royals do have their own plans for the future — "Kate and William have ideas about what sort of king and queen they will be when the time comes," the insider adds — with a new baby on the way, and William's father, Prince Charles, still the next in line for the crown, neither of them is in any hurry.

"They want to put George and the baby first and enjoy family life before being fully thrust on the royal stage," the insider added.
