It’s been six months since General Hospital’s smarmiest politician yet has uttered more than one word, and that first word came just a few days ago. When Drew Cain whispered the word “Willow,” it told us that it won’t be long now before Drew is terrorizing Willow’s life again.

Drew Cain Transforms

Once an affable character when played by the late Billy Miller and when first played by Cameron Mathison in 2021, Drew underwent quite a change in 2024 after being released from prison. While serving time for committing insider trading, Drew was nearly beaten to death, which seemed to transform him into an entirely different person.

After being elected to Congress and sleeping with his nephew’s wife on the playroom floor the night his ex-wife died, Drew spent 2025 trying to rule his nephew’s wife’s life. Willow left Michael (Rory Gibson) for him and fell under Drew’s spell. By January, the audience knew Willow (Katleyn MacMullen) had woken up. GH revealed that she was the one who shot Drew in the back twice.

After fooling the jury and being acquitted, Willow stabbed her new husband’s neck with a syringe that contained a paralytic drug. She has been keeping Drew in a locked-in state for half a year, but that’s about to end soon. Sidwell (Carlo Rota) is behind bars and can no longer supply Willow with the drug, so Drew has started to move.

Willow’s in the Hot Seat

This coming week, things get more precarious for Willow as she has to once again deal with Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) probing questions. Drew’s alleged stroke is starting to look more suspicious, as is Willow’s insistence that Drew doesn’t need special tools to communicate. What Willow doesn’t know is that Drew has already communicated with her children, Wiley and Amelia, but they have kept the encounter to themselves.

Willow realizes that Drew is playing a dirty game with her, but she still has the upper hand and has considered finishing the job she started when she shot him last fall. With Drew set to speak to Willow’s mom any day, according to the GH sneak peek video, Nina (Cynthia Watros) this week, will Nina give her daughter a helping hand?
